What you'll learn at our IT Project Management Course
By the end of this week, participants are able to navigate the bootcamp structure and digital working environment with confidence, understand the overall setup, goals, and expectations of the IT Project Management Bootcamp, use the core tools (Notion, Miro) effectively, and reflect on and articulate their personal role, motivation, and learning goals. The objective of this week is to create orientation, confidence, and a shared foundation for the following 15 weeks.
By the end of this week, participants are able to understand and apply core concepts and terminology of IT project management, differentiate between various project and development types, assess technological frameworks and constraints of IT projects, critically evaluate opportunities and limitations of artificial intelligence in project contexts, and structure and maintain project documentation in Confluence. The objective is to establish a shared professional foundation for all further Initiation activities.
By the end of this week, participants are able to create a comprehensive project brief and conduct a feasibility study, identify and classify different types of project stakeholders, analyze and manage project risks and constraints (Theory of Constraints), and integrate AI tools and platform thinking for project and project setup. The objective is to establish a robust foundation for project execution by defining scope, assessing viability, and managing stakeholder expectations.
By the end of this week, participants are able to create a comprehensive project brief and conduct a feasibility study, identify and classify different types of project stakeholders, analyze and manage project risks and constraints (Theory of Constraints), and integrate AI tools and platform thinking for product and project setup. The objective is to establish a robust foundation for project execution by defining scope, assessing viability, and managing stakeholder expectations.
By the end of this week, participants are able to differentiate between various project and development types, understand the core principles of Kanban, Scrum, and Lean, apply these Agile methods to set up project development, and critically compare them to traditional approaches to select the most appropriate framework for a given project. The objective is to establish the theoretical and practical foundation for selecting and setting up the appropriate development framework.
By the end of this week, participants are able to define, document, and manage clear Project requirements, write effective, actionable, and testable user stories, implement the Definition of Ready (DoR) and Definition of Done (DoD) to ensure quality and readiness, and make informed release decisions based on defined criteria. The objective is to establish clear and shared standards for Project scope and development quality before execution begins.
By the end of this week, participants are able to apply various prioritisation and estimation techniques to manage backlogs and schedules, define and measure meaningful Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), conduct and analyze A/B testing for Project validation, and utilize data tools like Adobe & Google Analytics for project-relevant insights. The objective is to transform strategic goals into measurable, estimated, and prioritised work packages.
By the end of this week, participants are able to set up and manage work within the project management tool, Jira, participate effectively in an interactive Scrum simulation, and critically compare and select appropriate Agile versus Traditional methods for a given project. Furthermore, they will gain insights into real-world applications by engaging with an industry professional. The objective is to establish practical competence in Agile frameworks and tools for efficient project execution.
By the end of this week, participants are able to foster Psychological Safety within a project team, effectively moderate meetings and guide decision-making processes, apply conflict management and problem-solving competence, and practice effective communication and feedback skills. The objective is to master the essential soft skills and interpersonal techniques required for smooth project execution and team collaboration.
By the end of this week, participants are able to lead or participate effectively in all Scrum Ceremonies, understand basic software architecture and technology for effective developer collaboration, define and execute a User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Quality Assurance process, and analyze and understand team roles and dynamics. The objective is to manage the technical and interpersonal aspects of the development team to ensure quality and progress.
By the end of this week, participants are able to utilize data analysis fundamentals to track project progress, monitor and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), set up and evaluate A/B tests for continuous improvement, and integrate web analytics tools (Adobe, Google Analytics) into project tracking. The objective is to establish clear, data-driven methods for monitoring project progress and status.
By the end of this week, participants are able to create clear and impactful visualisations of complex features and project data, conduct a Business Process Analysis to identify bottlenecks and improvements, master various Agile reporting methods (e.g., burn-down charts, velocity), and communicate project status effectively to different stakeholder groups. The objective is to translate project data and progress into clear, actionable reports and visualisations.
By the end of this week, participants are able to apply deep-dive problem-solving and course correction strategies, address complex business challenges like Legacy and Tech Debt, navigate Project Management within regulatory and compliance frameworks, and implement advanced configurations for Jira Boards and Confluence documentation. The objective is to develop the leadership and technical skills needed to handle major obstacles and complexity in an ongoing project.
By the end of this week, participants are able to develop and execute Go-to-Market and launch strategies, formulate a compelling Storytelling and narrative, determine appropriate pricing and monetization strategies, and define and track KPIs for post-launch activities. The objective is to successfully prepare for and manage the final Project launch and its immediate follow-up activities.
By the end of this week, participants are able to identify potential ITPM specializations for future career development, develop a professional personal brand as a Project Manager, apply effective negotiation skills in a professional context, and formulate a structured plan for the first 90 days in a new role. The objective is to transition project completion into concrete steps for career advancement and professional positioning.
In the final week of the program, participants are able to finalize all required documentation and artifacts for the personal capstone project, prepare and deliver a professional final presentation of their project, participate constructively in a presentation and feedback round, and integrate final optimisations and tweaks into the project outcome. The objective is to successfully complete the Capstone project and formally conclude the bootcamp with a professional presentation.
