You should have experience in software and front-end development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, while experience with React is a plus but not strictly required.
What you'll get A deeper understanding and valuable insights through the use of tools like VSCode, Github, Vercel, Memberspot, Discord, CodeWars, MongoDB Atlas, Claude Pro, Docker, Render.
What's in store at our Advanced Software Development with AI bootcamp
This week lays the foundation for your learning success. You will align on expectations, evaluate your programming proficiency through coding assessments, and get to know our collaborative pedagogical approach. At the same time, you will set up your professional development environment and learn how to integrate AI tools into your daily development workflow—purposefully and responsibly—from the very beginning.
You will dive deep into the world of TypeScript, exploring syntax, compiler tooling, and clean workflows for modern web architectures. Alongside interfaces and typed DOM manipulation, you will master advanced concepts such as generics, union types, utility types, and declaration files—applying them directly in your first TypeScript project.
You will build server-side web applications using Express.js, following the maintainable MVC (Model-View-Controller) pattern, and learn how to handle files and uploads. At the same time, you will delve into relational databases and SQL (queries, joins, relations) and deepen your understanding of object-oriented programming principles (OOP in JS & TS), as well as Clean Code and SOLID patterns.
Elevate your backend to an enterprise-grade level: use NestJS to build scalable RESTful APIs, leveraging decorators, modules, and dependency injection. Integrate relational databases via TypeORM, secure your endpoints with robust authentication (JWT & Passport), document your interfaces professionally using Swagger/OpenAPI, and implement unit, integration, and CI tests.
An application is only truly finished once it is running reliably in production. In this phase, you will learn how to containerize your services using Docker (including Dockerfiles, multi-container setups, and networking). You will automate the deployment of your systems to modern cloud providers, ensuring consistent and reproducible environments throughout the entire development lifecycle.
Back in the frontend, you rely on a cutting-edge React stack: you will master Next.js using the App Router and React Server Components (RSC) to achieve optimal performance and SEO. You will manage global application state in a lightweight way with Zustand and ensure code quality through automated frontend tests alongside comprehensive end-to-end (E2E) testing.
Now the frontend and backend merge into a holistic platform. You link your Next.js frontend with the NestJS backend including end-to-end authentication and CRUD functions. The platform is complemented by modern real-time communication: Using server sent events (SSE) and WebSockets, you can build interactive features such as a fully-fledged full-stack chat application.
You will learn to use modern AI not just as an assistant, but to integrate it as a core feature into your software. Through prompt engineering and LLM APIs, you will build smart AI services and features. At the same time, you will master forward-looking "augmented coding" workflows to maximize code quality and development speed—always taking AI security, licensing law, and data privacy into account.
Over the final five weeks, you will prove your newly acquired skills under real market conditions: working in an agile team across five structured sprints, you will build an ambitious full-stack AI project—complete with sprint planning, daily standups, reviews, and retrospectives. Supported by personal mentoring and intensive career coaching, you will present your capstone project on Demo Day in front of hiring partners.
If you're interested in our further training and would like to learn more before you begin, please feel free to attend one of our information sessions and see which topic is right for you.
