What is the final project useful for?
90% of deaf children are born to hearing parents unfamiliar with American Sign Language (ASL). We developed a state-of-the-art ML model to recognise ASL signs in videos for an innovative learning app. This enables users to practice signs using their phone camera and receive instant feedback, improving accessibility for those seeking to learn ASL.
