Meteo Bakery

Food waste is a major problem in bakeries and associated with high economic costs. Together with our stakeholder meteolytix, we established a LightGBM model that produces precise sales forecasts for bakery products based on weather data. Our model shows high forecasting accuracy and can potentially be used for demand planning of bakery stores.
