What is the final project useful for?
Ever wondered where arctic foxes like to go? We used GPS data from collared arctic foxes to find that out. Using this data as well as features describing the terrain, we built a machine learning model based on the XGBoost algorithm that predicts favorable habitats for the arctic fox.
