What is the final project useful for?
Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a progressive brain disease and the most diffused form of adult dementia. Currently, doctors can determine the presence of AD through brain MRI imaging with an accuracy of 72%. We used a CNN to speed up this process and improve the prediction quality (+21% recall), thereby saving time and costs to neurologists.
