The most up-to-date, effective tech stack on the market:
Turn your creativity into a career. In just 12 weeks, our UX/UI bootcamp will get you creating breathtaking products that users love.
From concepts to components, get ready to think, tell stories and create like a designer. You’ll have the freedom to experiment and the guidance needed to succeed.
What's in store at our Online UX/UI Design bootcamp
We start with the basics and tools from the areas of UX and UI. We show you how to use typography, iconography, color and shape principles in digital websites or apps to visualise your ideas. We’ll learn the Design Thinking method to solve problems in a targeted manner and generate new, market-oriented ideas that convince users.
Building on the first phase, you’ll now deepen your knowledge in the area of user experience. Learn how to build empathy with your users through user research and user-centered design, better understand their needs and incorporate the findings into your further conceptual work. You’ll further your expertise by creating user personas, flows or journeys. "Content is king" - that's why we're looking at how you can use UX writing and UX storytelling to pick up your users' content.
In phase 3 you’ll learn more complex functions in Figma. You’ll dig into how to make your designs and concepts responsive and accessible in order to offer all people a good user experience.
We deal with "dark" and "light" patterns in design and learn what responsibility designers bear with their work.
You have already acquired good, in-depth knowledge. Now you will learn what a design system is and how to create one. In a practical project, you will create a component-based system together with the other participants and learn how to use prototyping to make your designs interactive.
User testing can be used to measure whether your concept and design meets the needs of users and how you iterate on your design work. You will carry out your very-own first usability test, collect data and gain insights. Here we also deal with dark & light patterns in design and learn what responsibility designers bear with their work - to other people and to our environment.
In order to understand how your concepts and designs are implemented, you will get to know technologies such as HTML and CSS in practice in the web development excursion. You will build empathy for the work of developers and learn how to work successfully with them.
At the end of the phase you will get to know agile methods such as Scrum and Kanban and the workflow of UX/UI designers.
In this phase we dedicate ourselves to your further career as a UX/UI designer. You will learn how to create a case study and get tips on building your portfolio. We look at how the work in the project, product and consulting environment differ from each other.
In addition, you will learn various methods with which you can establish good time management in practice. In the later job it can always be stressful, so you will learn how to keep a cool head in stressful and pressured situations.
So that you can put what you have learned directly into practice, at the end of the course you will create your final project. This will become part of your future UX/UI portfolio and is your chance to show all your skills. Your coaches will be by your side as mentors at all times.
If you're interested in our further training and would like to learn more before you begin, please feel free to attend one of our information sessions and see which topic is right for you.

No worries! Our bootcamps are designed for everyone, regardless of your previous knowledge. We've developed a proven learning method that will take you from a beginner to braniac step by step. So, no need to panic, just pay attention to all the prep work we send your way before the course.
How does Spiced differ from other UX/UI Design bootcamps?
Spiced is different. Our methodology is hands-on and prepares you effectively for the demands of real work. Plus, we have an amazing community that will help you go above and beyond.
Will I land a job?
Absolutely! We can't promise it'll be easy, after all, changing direction in life takes hard work. Nonetheless, Spiced has an 83% hiring rate. We don't just help you acquire the technical skills; we also provide extensive career support.
What kind of job can I get after the bootcamp?
After completing your bootcamp, you can start working as a UX/UI designer, user interface engineer, or UX researcher.
I’ve never done design before—can I realistically complete the UX/UI Design Bootcamp and start working afterward?
Absolutely! Many learners join with zero design experience and successfully transition into UI/UX roles. Here’s how the bootcamp sets you up:
Foundations first: You start with basic visual design principles—color theory, typography, layout grids, and design thinking methodologies.
Step-by-step tools introduction: Modules cover Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD, and gradually move to prototyping, user flow mapping, and interaction design.
Portfolio creation: You create 3–5 case studies with wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and user testing results.
Duration is typically 12–16 weeks full-time or 24 weeks part-time. Cost ranges from €5,000 to €10,000—bootcamps listed in KURSNET/ meinNOW may be fully funded with a Bildungsgutschein.
💬 “I was a literature major with no design background. After the bootcamp, I landed a junior UX designer role at €45k/year in Berlin.”
✅ If you’re curious, willing to practice, and open to feedback, you can go from zero to employable.
What job titles and salary range can I expect after graduating the UX/UI Design Bootcamp in Germany?
Great to consider early. Here’s what graduates usually transition into:
UI Designer: €40,000–€50,000
UX Designer (junior): €45,000–€55,000
Product Designer: €50,000–€65,000, especially in startups or bilingual roles
With additional skills like Figma components, user testing, user journeys, or German language (B2/C1), salaries can climb higher more quickly.
💬 “After graduation, I was hired as a Junior Product Designer for €53k/year. My user research case studies and UI components were key.”
✅ A focused bootcamp portfolio showing your design thinking, usability testing, and prototypes can land you a solid entry-level position.
How do I get a Bildungsgutschein voucher for the UX/UI Bootcamp? Is the process straightforward?
Yes, it's doable—especially for people looking to reskill in design in Germany. Here’s how it works:
💬 “I walked into the Jobcenter with job listings for Berlin and screenshots of my aspiring design portfolio. The advisor approved the voucher within two sessions.”
✅ Bring data, ambition, and confidence—you can often get substantial tuition funding that lets you focus on growing your skill set.
Is freelancing a realistic path after completing a UX/UI Design Bootcamp in Germany?
100%! Many bootcamp grads jump into freelancing right away—especially in creative hubs like Berlin, Hamburg, or Munich. If you're self-motivated and proactive, freelancing offers flexibility and solid earning potential. Here's how to make it work:
Build a standout portfolio: Bootcamp projects are your proof of skill—polish them into clear case studies with problem, solution, and results.
Register as a freelancer ("Freiberufler"): After registering with the Finanzamt, you’ll receive a tax number. No company registration needed.
Start on freelance platforms: Try Malt, Freelancer Map, and local UX/Tech Slack groups. Create German and English profiles for better visibility.
💰 Entry-level UX/UI freelancers in Germany charge €30–€60/hour. After 1–2 years of experience and referrals, you can go up to €90/hour or higher.
💬 “My first paid job came through a Berlin Slack group—just €450 for a usability audit, but it got me started and led to a 3-month contract.”
✅ With the bootcamp as your launchpad and some hustle, freelancing is a realistic and rewarding career path.
Will I need to know German to succeed after the UX/UI Design Bootcamp?
Not necessarily—but it definitely helps! Germany has many international startups (especially in Berlin), where English is the working language. Still, speaking German can:
Expand job options: Many agencies and SMEs require at least B1-level German.
Improve user research: Interviewing German-speaking users is easier when you’re conversational.
Make networking smoother: Meetups, Slack groups, and local events often mix English and German.
🌍 That said, many bootcamp alumni land jobs in fully international teams.
💬 “I didn’t speak a word of German during the bootcamp, but still landed a remote UI design job with a Berlin fintech startup. Now I’m learning German on the side!”
✅ You can start in English but learning German will unlock more job doors and make you a stronger UX candidate in the local market.
What happens if I fall behind in the bootcamp schedule? Are there catch-up options?
Great question—and yes, life happens. Most bootcamps understand this and build in support mechanisms:
Recorded sessions: Many lessons are recorded so you can revisit material if you miss a class.
One-on-one mentor time: Weekly or biweekly check-ins help keep you on track and solve blockers.
Flexible deadlines: Some bootcamps (especially those that accept Bildungsgutschein) allow extended timelines for project completion.
💬 “I had to pause for two weeks due to illness. My mentor helped me re-prioritize and I still finished on time.”
✅ Be proactive, communicate with your instructor or student advisor early, and you’ll be supported through life’s curveballs.
