Meet Priya 👋. With a background in neuroscience, she wanted to upskill and expand her knowledge of data. She found SPICED and successfully completed our 12-week intensive Data Science course.

Tell us a little about your professional background before the bootcamp?

Before attending the bootcamp, I was doing research in the field of neuroscience. My research focused on understanding the mechanisms of neurons’ energy cells.

What made you want to make the switch to Data Science?

I enjoyed the challenges of conducting experiments and analyzing data. However, I wanted to expand my knowledge of data. So after researching, I decided to enroll at SPICED.

What was it about SPICED Data Science bootcamp that appealed to you?

One of the key factors that drew me to this program was its clear structure of coursework and approachable nature. In addition, the career guidance provided after the course was more appealing.

How was your time at SPICED?

Once I joined, I found the coursework to be very interactive and the teachers were great, allowing us to apply concepts to each of our respective fields. We were given weekly projects to complete, which were challenging yet fun.

Do you have any advice for future Spicedlings?

I encourage future Spicedlings to complete the weekly assignments and add them to their public repository. I found that I was very active in the beginning but eventually became drained. However, I quickly learned that being consistent is key. Overall, my experience at the Data Science bootcamp was amazing!
